Cascade Caverns

Located within a 105-acre private park, Cascade Caverns gives visitors a firsthand look at this beautiful living cavern in Texas. Guided tours are offered year-round, and each group is limited to 15 people to ensure that you can get the full experience of the cave and have all your questions answered. This 45-minute tour will take you through the living cavern, which is always a comfortable 64 degrees

For those who are interested in exploring the lower depths of the cave, adventure tours lasting 2-3 hours are available for guests who are at least 16 years of age. Another option is the nighttime tour, where you can travel through the cave using only candles and flashlights. In addition to the popular cave tours, Cascade Caverns also has a campground, nature trails, and rock shop.

Garner State Park

With beautiful scenery and plenty of outdoor activities, Garner State Park is a day trip that will never get old. If you love the water, the Frio River offers plenty of opportunities for fun. You can go for a swim, fish, float on an inner tube, or take a paddle boat down the river. To help you study nature and explore the park, there are 11 miles of scenic trails. And if you want to turn it into an overnight trip, the park also offers screened shelters, cabins, and campsites for your convenience.

Retama Park

If you love the thrill and excitement of live horse racing, you are sure to have a fun time at Retama Park. From July 6 through September 5, you can come watch Quarter and Thoroughbred horse race on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. General admission tickets are $7, but if you live in Selma, TX, you get in free.

Other events are hosted throughout the year as well, including Big Texas Fun which will take place March 23 through April 8. This family-friendly event will feature live music, an Easter egg hunt, delicious food, craft beer, and so much more.
